Summer Rep performances for 2015

Arsenic and Old Lace

By Joseph Kesselring
Directed by Cat Gleason

The Brewster home is one of the best in Brooklyn – just don’t rent a room. In this 1940s classic black comedy, poor Mortimer Brewster has his hands full dealing with his aunts who have twelve bodies in the basement, “Teddy Roosevelt” his delusional brother, and the local beat cops. Add another trouble making brother and a fiancée and Mortimer may not make it though the night.

June 25th - July 5th
Rhynsburger Theatre

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike

By Christopher Durang
Directed by David Crespy

Vanya and Sonia have never left their childhood Bucks County home. A surprise visit from their Hollywood actress sister, Masha, and her 20-something boy toy, Spike, sends their world spinning. Add to that a wacky, prophesizing Cassandra, Snow White, a dwarf or two, and welcome to the intoxicating lunacy of Christopher Durang’s loony Chekhovian comedy.

July 17 – 26

Comedies in Concert

June 12th and July 10th
Directed by David Crespy

In this madcap original series, Mizzou actors, directors, and playwrights read, rehearse and stage a performance in less than 8 hours. Can they do it? Without losing lines, props, costume pieces, and their minds?! This year, we feature two new comedies: on June 12th, David Crespy’s The Incredible Theatre Majors of Wretched Grace, which follows the adventures of the Theatre Majors, struggling NYC actors by day, superheroes by night. And on July 10th, The Broken Middle Matzah by Brad Babendir, a romantic comedy about a Passover Seder gone haywire when ex-spouses cover up their divorce from their nosy parents (watch out for flying matzah!).

June 12 and July 10
Corner Playhouse - Only $5
